Reminder!
editarHi, just a reminder that you should have made two new edits this week, probably to some short pages on topics about which you have some knowledge already. This should take you about ten minutes at most. --Jbmurray (discusión) 17:44 21 ene 2015 (UTC)
Your edits to Mountain View (California) and Iwata (Shizuoka)
editarThanks for these contributions, but note that the information you added was already there, under enlaces externos. As such, I've reverted your changes; no need to add redundancies.
Meanwhile, this edit is fine, except that you should really add the reliable source from which you got that information. --Jbmurray (discusión) 21:26 22 ene 2015 (UTC)
Rosario Castellanos evaluation
editarHi. I see you've started on this. Excellent. Take a look at Discusión:Cristina Peri Rossi and Usuario discusión:Jnag406 for a sense of what you should be up to. Note that the one source that you had indicated was not a reliable one, so I crossed it out. There are certainly many much better ones on Castellanos. ¡Animo! --Jbmurray (discusión) 00:11 27 ene 2015 (UTC)
--Akashyap333 (discusión) 22:58 2 feb 2015 (UTC) Let's get working on this! Kaeli needs to decided which sources she is going to discuss now!
Hey, thanks for this addition to the article, but I reverted it, because it's not a book of essays, like the other titles that are there. But keep on with the article! Good luck! --Jbmurray (discusión) 23:45 12 feb 2015 (UTC)
Contributions
editarHi. I see you've been haven't edited since February 8 and that your last contribution to Rosario Castellanos was on February 2. Please get to this! --Jbmurray (discusión) 20:35 10 mar 2015 (UTC)
References
editarHey, thanks for these edits. But this is a reminder that we need proper, full, detailed references, not least to the specific pages from which the information is taken. Thanks! --Jbmurray (discusión) 20:19 12 mar 2015 (UTC)
Hi. I see that none of you have edited this article since March 11. What's more, it remains in a rather parlous state: poor or vague sourcing (see the multiple places where it says "cita requerida" or the various question marks here and here), lacks shape or structure, and says very little about the critical reception or importance of her work. Please get going on this very soon! --Jbmurray (discusión) 11:07 21 mar 2015 (UTC)
Page number?
editarHi and thanks for this. But (as I have mentioned before, as well as in class), ou should give us the specific page number for the quotation, rather than a range. Also, as you've taken this source from the web, you should provide the URL. Again, just like you would do for any college paper. --Jbmurray (discusión) 23:38 22 mar 2015 (UTC)
- In the end, to save time, I figured I'd check out the source myself. But there seems to be a problem (not unlike the one we discussed in class?) You use as a source for the statement that Castellanos "consideraba la poesía 'un intento de llegar a la raíz de los objetos' mediante la metáfora" her essay "La novela mexicana contemporánea y su valor testimonial." But I have now downloaded that essay, and I can't see that quotation anywhere in it. Are you sure that this is the right source?! --Jbmurray (discusión) 05:06 23 mar 2015 (UTC)
- I haven't heard anything back from you on this, so I've just removed the mistaken reference. Meanwhile, you haven't added any content to the article since March 12, when you added two sentences, one without a source at all. --Jbmurray (discusión) 02:41 26 mar 2015 (UTC)
Watch out!
editarHiya. Thanks for your recent edits, but as I've said in class a) do provide full bibiographical information and b) watch out for plagiarism (such as that fixed here). --Jbmurray (discusión) 18:17 27 mar 2015 (UTC)
Better Sources
editarThanks for these edits, but we really need much better sources. The first of these two is especially weak (an online encyclopedia); the other isn't in fact a source for the claim that Castellanos was Directora General de Información y Prensa between 1960-1966 (it merely shows that at some point in 1964 she had that title), nor does it mention her professorship, and so doesn't fit the information in the sentence. More generally, here are a massive number of decent sources on Castellanos (some of them are among the list here). We need to use them. --Jbmurray (discusión) 20:30 1 abr 2015 (UTC)
